    Firefox 3 Window Redraw/Ghosting Bug – fixed?

Using Firefox has always been a nice Experience until the day this nasty Redraw Bug occured.
Opening a larger Amount of Tabs/Sites caused a Bug that made Firefox (3.0.5 in my case) to redraw only Parts of the Site. A Ghosting Effect that was really getting on my nerves, because you had reboot completely to fix [...]

    Black MacBook of Death

… it doesn’t seem to get any better. After my first MacBook Harddisk Crash one year ago, three dying Batteries, now my second replacement Harddrive crashed yesterday.
The first (original) Drive was the Seagate Momentus 5400.2 one, the second (replacement) Drive a Hitachi OEM one – both died with the same good-bye Headcrash Sound.
    So after all [...]

    MacBook Battery and Snow Leopard

There are a lot of Discussions recently on “dying” Batteries after installing Snow Leopard.
My Battery Problem started when i bought my first Intel MacBook – the Black one. The first Battery died just after some weeks (X Symbol above the Battery Icon). I called Apple Support and got a new Battery some days later. The [...]

No more (bad) URL Shortening Services please

On Sites like Twitter.com it’s quite common to use a URL Shortening Service to reduce the Text length posted. Lot’s of this Services already exist, like tinyurl.com, is.gd, bit.ly just to name a few.
From the Users point of view it doesn’t make a big difference which one to use: some have bookmarklets, some have statistics [...]

    Why don’t you validate?

I assume most of you guys are aware there’s a service called “Markup Validation Service”. If you develop Websites it’s a good idea you validate them before publishing to make sure the conform the Specifications that exit for HTML/XHTML or even CSS.
If you wonder what validation is all about you might want to check the [...]

    Portfolio update November

There are 2 new Sites online which kept me busy in October:
    1. Deichkind.de
    2. Sportlichestalent.de (Mitsubishi Lancer Microsite)
The Deichkind Site uses the Kyte Player which caused some serious Problems, because we were bound to embedd it within Flash. The Site itself was done is AS 2.0, but the Kyte Player is AS 3.0. Though AS 2.0 [...]

Part of the Weekend never dies

Just saw the Soulwax “Rockumentary” Part of the Weekend never dies – really enjoyed it. The DVD comes with a Mix CD. It’s a bargain, buy it. Somehow it reminded my of Air’s “Eating, Sleeping, Waiting and Playing”.
The Movie contains nice Titles by “So Me“, lot’s of live Footage, lot’s of Good Music, lot’s of [...]
